WPE ā€“ Wild Planet Eco-project is a non profit Organization and registered as an association in Cameroon. WPE is an active nature conservation. This goes only together with the people. We teach environmental education in schools and in the villages. Solutions are compiled near to reality, together with the people on site. Our main mission is, to preserve Flora and Fauna, protect endangered wildlife species, and conserve wildlife habitat act against destruction of nature and the environment. Climate change and CO2 balance. We call our work as “The Great Ape Campaign”

WPE consist of a growing group of dedicated nature lovers. Ideas and knowledge networked with people in the fields of operation, the WPE Cameroon teacher and student network and pupils from different countries sets positive accents.

WPE ā€“ The organization which exerts itself actively for the preservation of the last natural living spaces and protection of endangered species. We believe that closer preventive measures are the best way to change things.
If man cannot respect nature, nature will end up by eliminating man!
Nature can do without man but man cannot do without nature!
Such are notions cultivated to children and the society as a whole in our campaigns.
One of our main objective is to build a network of nature loving people to a virtual network of ideas and knowledge with the people on the field, create a student and teachers network to enable the understanding of the environment to all age groups equal.

The degree of environmental awareness in our society is still very low and this is the reason behind the dirty image of our communities, WPE believes that through education and sensitization this problem can be solve, through this we have set up collaboration ties with some local councils to mobilize initiatives and efforts in the changing of our society to be a place worth living.
Wild Planet Eco-project (WPE) is a young organisation with the principal aim of protecting nature durably through its long term environmental campaign projects. It is basically made up of determined and benevolent youths who have the love for nature and know the importance of campaigning to save the remaining natural space. All the WPE projects are long term projects with the hope of making deep impact on each aspect and each problem touched. WPE has been existing as a registered organisation in Cameroon since 2008 and till date has already made great efforts in the changing and modification of attitudes and behaviours towards the protection of nature for a better world.

Education and sensitization are at the base of the protection of the environment, they are the most important aspects of our interractions with nature. We need to recognise that even in the western world the idea and the importance of protecting nature is only recent, it is thus important for us to cultivate in children and youths a sense of maximum alert in the schools in order to divert their attentions towards environmental awareness; that is to say that the priority objective of WPE is the sensitization and the Education of the children and youths who are the target group of our project.

The putting in place of a responsible Eco-tourism creator of employment and attractor of foreign revenues. It is important to underline that a good understanding of the importance of nature by the population must be encouraged and should remain progressive, this will contribute to the protection of the environment in which we all live. WPE has since 2010 been working in collaboration with Sauvegarde Faune Sauvage, a humanitarian organisation based in Wittenheim in the Alsace province of France. Together with it president Jean Paul Burget, we have already realised the green school project which has seen some 17 schools around Cameroon benefiting from trees offered by this NGO. This year the association through the visit of Jean Paul to Cameroon, have contributed to the opening of the WPE garden that will serve in other tree planting projects.
